Farmington lawyer Nicci Unsicker believes each person plays a vital role in creating the community they want to live in. That’s why she volunteers for all her communities including northern New Mexico families, business professionals, and trial attorneys.

Serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Aztec Boys & Girls Club, Nicci gives her time to ensure there’s a place where all youngsters can develop the qualities needed for a satisfying life, such as a positive self-identity, good health, and a moral compass.

Nicci is also a member of the Governing Council of the Mosaic Academy, a district-authorized charter school in Aztec.  She works to preserve and enhance the school’s approach: a multi-age setting, hands-on learning, and authentic literacy based on the Four Blocks model.

Nicci is currently Secretary of the San Juan Medical Foundation, an organization that supports the healing mission of the San Juan Regional Medical Center.  In addition, she’s a board member of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce.

Keeping the spirit of her experience with the Trial Lawyers College alive and sharing with others is important to Nicci.  She helps the TLC community thrive by serving on the F Warrior Board, facilitating nationwide alumni connections and opportunities to give back to the college.

Nicci enjoys public speaking and teaching.  She has been tapped as a speaker at the Four Corners Women’s Professional Summit and by the American Bar Association, Family Law Section.  She is frequently a guest teacher for Tell the Winning Story.  These CLE (Continuing Legal Education) sessions help attorneys learn to tell the right story every time.

She served on Aztec’s Comprehensive Plan Committee, helping the city shape its long-term development plan for the community.
